At BallroomShoes.com, we strive to provide a clear and transparent ordering experience. Because many of our shoes are produced by international manufacturers with varying inventory levels, delivery timelines may differ based on availability, production cycles, and brand-specific processes.
1. Stock Availability & Production Timelines
Manufacturer Stock (Not Stored at Our Corporate Location)
The majority of shoes sold on BallroomShoes.com are not kept at our corporate location. Availability and production timelines are based on the manufacturer’s warehouse inventory.
Standard Manufacturer Availability
- If the manufacturer has the shoe available in their warehouse, the order will move into their standard production queue, which typically takes 3–6 weeks before the shoes are shipped to us. This timeline reflects the production stage.
Brands with Faster Production
Certain U.S.–based brands have shorter production times for standard, non-customized styles:
- Very Fine
- Dancefeel
- Dance America
These brands generally complete production within 1–2 weeks.
Out-of-Stock at the Manufacturer
- If the manufacturer does not have the shoe available, it will enter a longer production cycle, which may take several weeks depending on material availability and brand workload.
Product Discontinuations
- Manufacturers may discontinue styles, colors, or heel options without notice.
- If this occurs, we will reach out to you directly to discuss alternatives or assist in selecting a comparable shoe.
Sale Items (In Stock at Our Corporate Office)
- The only items physically in stock at our corporate headquarters are Sale Shoes.
- These items typically ship within 2–4 business days.
2. U.S.–Based Brands with Faster Processing
The following brands are produced in the United States and may allow faster processing and expedited shipping:
- Very Fine
- Dancefeel
- Dance America
While production is still required in many cases, these brands are generally able to fulfill and ship faster due to their domestic manufacturing, but is not guaranteed.
3. Custom Shoes (“CUSTOM”) – Made to Order
Shoes marked “Custom” are designed by the customer and produced specifically according to the selected brand, style, heel, width, sole, and other specifications.
Because these shoes are individually manufactured:
- Custom orders require extended production times.
- Production may take up to 70 business days depending on complexity and brand schedules.
- Custom shoes cannot be canceled, refunded, or modified once production has started.
4. Shipping Timeframes
Shipping Begins After We Receive the Shoes
Any shipping method selected at checkout (Standard, Priority, Expedited, etc.) applies only after we receive the shoes from the manufacturer.
Important Notes
- Production and availability are controlled by the manufacturer and may vary.
- Shipping speed cannot shorten manufacturer production time.
- We no longer offer rush requests or guaranteed delivery dates.
5. International Shipping
We ship internationally via FedEx International Priority.
- Once shipped from our facility, international packages typically arrive within 3–4 business days.
- International shipping rates are displayed at checkout.
- Current international shipping rate: $55 USD.
6. Order Changes, Cancellations & Fees
Because many shoes are produced specifically for each order, changes and cancellations disrupt the manufacturer’s workflow.
Cancellation Fee
- All cancellations (for non-custom shoes) incur a 10% cancellation fee, calculated on the order subtotal before taxes and shipping.
- This fee covers manufacturer and administrative processing costs.
Custom Orders
- Orders marked “Custom” are final sale once production begins.
- These items cannot be canceled, refunded, or altered.
7. Shipping Liability
Once your order leaves our facility:
- Carrier delays, customs holds, weather issues, or transit disruptions are outside of our control.
- Tracking information will be provided via email once your order ships.
